Hey... we had a great game night on Wednesday. Lots of fun and four new people to boot! On Sunday mornings, for the next few weeks, we are going to look more at how to share our faith with our friends. What practical steps can you take to share your faith... and not be a geek in the process!

Did you know that a geek is really someone who bites the heads off of animals. Happy to say that we don't have any geeks in our group... as far as I know!

Fall Retreat

Just wanted to report in on the great Fall Retreat we had from Sept. 25-27 @ Camp Cascade! We had about 50 people there for the weekend and it was an super duper time!!! We will post pictures and videos here as they are collected. We spent the weekend asking the question... what does it mean to listen to God?

Wednesday nights this fall are going to be in the annex from 7:00pm to 8:15pm. We will have a Bible study at the start and then split into "Chisel Groups" for the rest of the night. In the Chisel Groups we will 1. Answer a couple of questions about the Bible study 2. Talk about how our lives are going 3. Pray for one another.

On Sunday mornings we've started the "Gospel Journey, Maui" series. This is a video series that looks at what different religions believe about God. It is going to be a good time to figure out what you believe too. We start at 9:15am and everyone is welcome. Bring a friend!

It's a New Year!

Just wanted to take this time to welcome the new 9th graders into the HS group. We are looking forward to having you around a lot over the next year.

The next big thing is the Fall Retreat, Sept 25-27 at Camp Cascade! We will be leaving Friday night at 6:00pm and returning home by noon on Sunday. $55 if you are a regular... or you can bring a "friend for $40" who doesn't usually attend the group. It is going to be a great time!

End of Summer Bash

Hey... this Wednesday night is the End of Summer Bash out at the my place "On the Farm". We will have a van leave the church at 6:30pm if you need a ride. This week the van won't be back to the church until 10:00pm. If you want to drive out to the farm on your own... you are welcome to stay past 10:00pm if you want.

This weekend is the first weekend with the 8th graders in with us on Sunday morning. We are starting the Gospel Journey Maui series. We will be taking a look at different religions and how their belief systems differ from what we believe as Christians. It should be a great series.

Swim Party @ the Eldon's on the 23rd

Hey everyone... our next big event is the swim party at the Eldon's on Aug. 23rd. There is a sign-up sheet at Sign-Up Central in the annex for anyone that wants to go. We will leave the church at 12:30pm and won't get back until 4:00pm. You can drive yourself out too if you would like.

Wednesday the 19th we are meeting for Bible Study in the annex... then we are back out "On the Farm" for the last two Wednesday nights of the summer (Aug 26th and September 2nd). Hope everyone can make it to those events.

Fall Retreat is scheduled for September 25-27 at Camp Cascade. We are finalizing the cost and will have that for you soon! Save the date and invite a friend.

Sign Up for Triangle Lake!!!

We we made it back from Redding in one piece... except for Liz Rogers...

and we are looking forward to the rest of the summer!!! Next Wednesday (July 15th) is another installment of "Wednesday Nights on the Farm" out at my place in Keizer. Bring your friends. It should be another great time of food, fun, and hanging out!

Triangle Lake is right around the corner. $30 & a signed medical release form gets you there. Let us know you are coming at "Sign-Up Central" in the annex. FUN, FUN, FUN!!!

Missions Work Weekend Friday & Saturday

We had a great time out on the Farm on Wednesday! We had about 40 people and several new faces. Thanks for bringing your friends and having such a good time.

This Friday (5-8pm) and Saturday (9am-4pm) is the last work weekend to gain hours towards our missions trip requirement of 10 hours. Remember next week is VBS and volunteer hours there will also count towards your total. You can stop by anytime on Friday night or Saturday and catch us at the church. We will be cleaning up the landscaping on some of the houses along 17th St. The only time you won't catch us there is during lunch.

The missions trip is coming right up. It is $150 this year (only $50 if you got donations and worked at the auction). Let me know if you have any questions (503-932-3478 cell).

Wednesdays on the Farm

Our "Wednesday Nights on the Farm" kick off tonight at the Hall's place (7445 22nd Ave. N in Keizer). Come ready for some fun. A van will leave from the church at 6:30pm & be back the church at 8:30pm for anyone that needs a ride. Otherwise, students are welcome to come directly to the Hall’s @ 6:30pm. We will have BBQ, snacks, lots of games (basketball, volleyball, bocce ball, Frisbee golf), singing, and group devotions around the fire. This is a great opportunity to bring your friends and hang out.

***There will be no HS activities at the church this evening.***

Parent Meeting Sunday After 2nd Service

New Guys Small Group Meeting Thursday Night

I just want to remind everyone that we are starting a new guys small group on Thursday night this week. We will meet in the annex from 7-8pm. Bring your Bibles and be ready to get to work. We will be further discussing some of the stuff we deal with on a daily basis that keeps us from pursuing God. It will be a great time. Hope to see you there!
