I hope all of you are excited about the new year. Do you make New Year's resolutions? Have you decided to get better grades this next term? Maybe you desire more quality time with your parents? Maybe you just want to spend more time texting? Whatever it is... I hope you had a good 2008 and are looking forward to better things in 2009.

I'm excited about what this next year has in store. We are starting it off with a "bang" on Friday night with an all night party here at the church. Things will get started at 9:00pm and we'll be done by 6:00am on Saturday morning. Let me know if you have any questions. We will be taking a little surprise field trip during the evening, talent show, basketball, movie, and lots more. Should be laods of fun.

We also start the basketball league next Monday night (1-5-09). We have two teams this year. If you signed up, you can bring your $25 fee to the party on Friday night or to church on Sunday... but I have to have it prior to you playing in any games. I've also ordered reversable jerseys this year. We may not play well... but we will certainly look good doing it! I'm eager to start using my special inbounds play. This play alone should win us a few games!

Be sure to bring your Bibles on Sunday. If you are looking for something to read today... give some thought to 1 Cor. 5:1-13. I was reading that passage this morning and was really challenged to get out into the world and make some friends with those who need to hear about Christ. I was also challenged to encourage those within the church to live Godly lives.
