The Toast Bar is a brand new ministry here at Salem First that is specifically targeted to feeding our neighborhood kids. The Toast Bar is open from 10:30am - 10:55am Sunday Mornings at Salem First. We serve toast with several options to spread on top (Butter, Cinnamon and Sugar, Peanut Butter, and Jelly) and juice. There are games to play, movies to watch, and friends to meet and hang out with so come join us for breakfast!

Items that we need:

1) Butter

2) Bread

3) Cereal

4) Milk

All donations can be dropped off at the Church office Monday - Thursday 8 - 5 and Sundays 8 - 12. 

When we looked at starting something new with FirstKids we wanted to make sure it would be something that would address a need that our neighbor kids have.  After reviewing the statistics of hunger in our area we decided to dive in and do what we can to meet this need. The idea for a ministry on Sunday Mornings between services came up at camp this last summer while talking to Pastor Paul Holland of Medford First Naz who is currently running the original Toast Bar there in Medford. After a few e-mails and lots of prayer and thought we launched the FirstKid's Toast Bar on February 1st 2009.
